March’s 2024 Highlights

It’s been a busy year here at March, and we’ve been fortunate to work with some amazing clients, both old and new. As we start to wind down to the Christmas break, we’ve been reflecting on some of our highlights from the last twelve months.
Here, in no particular order, are our 2024 ‘best bits’:

1. Therapist website development for Self Space

Mental health organisation Self Space asked us to redevelop its therapist website to accommodate a rapidly growing team. We built the site using Elementor’s simple and powerful interface to convey sensitive information in a visually impactful way. The new site also allows Self Space’s marketing executives to quickly update and publish content.

We also built a new ‘Careers’ section that integrates with Monday.com, and an ‘Events’ section that integrates with EventBrite, making life simple for HR and sales teams. Founder Jodie Carriss said, “We received such great support and guidance from March. They really helped us articulate our message, which is especially important given the sensitivity of the topic of mental health.”

2. Brand identity and website for Bloomsbury Construction Group

Early in the year, we delivered a striking new brand identity for Bloomsbury Construction Group to reflect their position as London’s leading luxury property developer. A new portfolio website combining sleek visuals with a clear and engaging user journey underscores the premium nature of BCG’s work and clients, while showcasing its directors’ experience, expertise and charitable initiatives.

CEO Mark von Herkomer described the new site as “aesthetically exquisite” and “effortlessly navigable”. What more could we ask for?

3. A night out with Damian Lewis

Inspired by BCG’s philanthropic work, we offered to help promote a fundraising event for Mark’s charity HvH Arts. March created artwork and invitations for a private viewing at the Alon Zakaim Fine Art Gallery in Mayfair, hosted by charity patron Damian Lewis.

The event featured photography and sketches of Helen McCrory and other celebrities, raising awareness of HVH Arts and The McCrory Award, a grant given annually to support young people who lack the resources to pursue their passion for the arts. It was moving and inspiring to attend this very special event, and to meet some of the young people nominated for the award.

4. Branding and e-commerce for Anna Spiro

Building on our branding and digital services for interior designers, we were delighted to work with Australian designer Anna Spiro to develop her e-commerce site, Spiro Store, for her growing range of furniture, fabrics and wallcoverings.

We crafted an elegant new visual identity and restructured the site to make it easier for customers to navigate.

We also implemented bespoke e-commerce solutions to accommodate various product scenarios, such as fabric by the metre, samples, and bespoke product quotations.

5. A mentors platform for Intelligent People

Long-term March client Intelligent People asked us to develop a new platform for their product mentorship scheme following on from our branding and website work for them.

Co-founder and director Doug Bates said, “We love the redesign, which made our website more current, and the new mentorship functionality and subscription features are exactly what we wanted. Thanks for another great job.”

6. An online store for Healthy Back Bag

We had worked with ergonomic backpack company Healthy Back Bag previously to create a compelling new brand identity and website, so we were delighted when they asked us to help them with their online shop. We used Shopify to provide clear, easy-to-search product categories and an accelerated checkout experience.

Director Priscilla Chase said, “March are great to work with. They are technically and creatively brilliant, and great fun too… They genuinely care about understanding what we are aiming for and often articulate it better than we do. Our branding and our website are in hands that we wholeheartedly trust, and we thoroughly recommend them.”

7. Branding and website development for Sarah Vanrenen

Leading UK interior designer Sarah Vanrenen asked March to relaunch GW Vanrenen Designs under her own name, following a change of ownership. She also needed a new e-commerce site to promote her range of furniture and home accessories.

We created a hand-drawn logomark and bespoke illustrations to reflect Sarah’s skill and craft, as well as the personal, tailored nature of her work. Serif typography and an earthy colour palette contribute to a brand that feels both refined and grounded.

We then built the website on WordPress and WooCommerce, with Elementor to facilitate the sophisticated design. We incorporated bespoke e-commerce solutions and a range of delivery mechanisms to determine domestic and international shipping rates.

Since the new site was launched, visitors have increased by 214% and page views by 287%. It also scores 100% for SEO.

8. A digital transformation for Festival of Media

We worked with awards programme platform Festival of Media to overhaul its website, streamlining and simplifying the user experience and improving speed, performance and visibility.

Using WordPress with Elementor, we incorporated smooth page transitions and engaging video content to reflect the brand’s authority and appeal. We also integrated two CRM platforms to simplify sales and marketing processes. The new site has garnered a 245% increase in visitors, an accessibility score of 96%, and an SEO score of 100%.

9. A slick new website for HotelHub

Business hotel booking platform HotelHub asked us to overhaul its website, which was dated and difficult to manage.

We developed a new site on WordPress with Elementor, incorporating GSAP animations, vivid colour accents and engaging storytelling to enhance HotelHub’s visual identity and position the brand as the leader in its field.

We also simplified the user journey and optimised search to generate more leads, while integrating the site with Salesforce and Hubspot to reduce work for sales and HR teams. We’re thrilled that the new site has received several industry awards, including UX, UI, and Innovation Awards from CSS Design Awards and CSS Winner.

10. The March Christmas party

In celebration of a successful year, the March team met in central London earlier this month for our annual Christmas Party. We tested our mental and physical capabilities at the Crystal Maze Experience in Soho, dodging lasers, solving riddles – and scrambling around in something that looked a lot like soft play. Eventually, victory was secured in the Crystal Dome and it was on to Blacklock for some delicious steak, a few glasses of wine, and an unofficial prizegiving.
