What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever received?
What's been your favourite project to work on at March?
There’s been so many! I think the one that sticks in my mind was for the Business Design Centre. It was a branding exercise for the 160 year anniversary for the opening of the agricultural hall. We had a lot of ideas but we were able to meld the modern brand with the traditional stained glass of the building. The result was beautiful.

What inspires you?
What's your favourite brand and why?
This is a hard one, but the one that comes to mind is Carhartt workwear. They’ve evolved their style but kept their American cowboy authenticity throughout. It’s that or Desertscene. Heavy metal is a big passion of mine, and seeing the brand evolve into multiple festivals, all with their unique offering across the globe, is great to see.
If you hadn’t pursued a career in design, what might you have done instead?
I have always wanted, and still want to, become either a firefighter or a lumberjack. The former to help people and the latter because it just looks like a rewarding and fulfilling occupation.
What are you most proud of?
How do you like to spend time away from your desk?
Full disclosure, I’m a massive geek. Currently I’m trying to build my own Indie Pixel RPG, but I keep getting distracted by video games, anime, manga and the pub. You’ll find me in the corner by the fire reading a book most Thursday evenings.
And finally, what’s your dream holiday destination?
I’m going to be rubbish and say two places. Vietnam is the first, as I spent a month there previously and fell in love with the country. Would love to go back for longer!
The other is Santiago De Compostela in Spain. It’s a beautiful old town of bars, cafes, restaurants and markets. Plus the museums are fantastic. I would recommend everyone go once in their life, but go out of season. No tourist traps are open!
