As specialists in branding and website design for interior designers – and as design enthusiasts ourselves! – we’re always interested in attending the many inspiring events that take place in London and the UK throughout the year.
Here are some of the top design shows and exhibitions we’re looking forward to this year:
4–6 February, Business Design Centre
This coming week sees more than 6,000 visitors gathering at BDC Islington for an exhibition of internal and external surface materials including flooring, wallcoverings, paint and plaster. This year the show takes ‘Creative Conscience’ as its theme, reflecting its focus on sustainable and ethical solutions.
With our clients predicting a demand for marble this year, we’re looking forward to visiting the Stone Knowledge Hub, which hosts some of the leading UK stonemasons and stone suppliers. Elsewhere, material, design and trend expert Sally Angharad curates Surface Spotlight, exploring innovative products and themes influencing architecture and design.
4–6 March, ExCel Centre London
As we and our clients continue to adopt and champion sustainable practices, we’re always interested in attending Futurebuild in London. This three-day event at London’s vast ExCel centre showcases sustainable products and solutions for the built environment.
This year the event celebrates its 20th anniversary with the theme Impact. Representatives from the world of government, academia and construction will take part in talks and panel discussions on topics ranging from carbon capture to the future of plastic.
10 – 14 March, Design Centre Chelsea Harbour
Interior designers including Kit Kemp, Rose Uniacke and Matilda Goad join regular exhibitors at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour for a week-long exhibition to celebrate the new design season.
With some of the world’s most influential brands launching new collections, pop-ups, talks, and panels, London Design Week always provides a fun and fascinating glimpse of what’s coming up in the world of design. We’re particularly looking forward to Dressing the Home, a panel discussion moderated by Carole Annett, interiors editor at Country & Town House, that explores whether fashion influences interior design or vice versa.
2–5 May, ExCel Centre London and 3–5 October, NEC Birmingham
Whether or not you’ve ever dreamt of renovating a disused lighthouse or building a kit house on a flood plain, Grand Designs Live provides practical advice and inspiration for home renovation and building projects alongside insights into contemporary home design.
Exhibitors at Grand Designs Live include architects, windows manufacturers, kitchen installers and loft companies, so you’ll find plenty of information and advice for any project. Visitors can also attend talks on topics covering sustainability, home and garden design and self-builds.
3 June – 3 July, DCCH
Also at DCCH, WOW!House is a remarkable 600m² showhouse containing 21 rooms and outdoor spaces, each crafted by a different designer. This year, it features spaces by designers including Kelly Hoppen and Ben Pentreath, collaborating with leading brands and suppliers such as Dedar and Cox London.
Launched in 2022, the month-long event also includes a programme of talks and tours to provide design inspiration and networking opportunities. A portion of ticket sales will be donated to United in Design, a charity that champions inclusion in the industry.
12–15 October, Kensington Olympia
Now in its 47th year, Decorex is one of the world’s best-known interior design shows. As well as playing host to top interior designers and brands, the four-day event includes a programme of inspiring talks and sustainability discussions, as well as an exhibition of selected pieces from the Affordable Art Fair, one of its partners.
Launched in 2024, the Making Spaces section of Decorex provides a platform for artisans to showcase their work. It’s always inspiring seeing some of the UK’s most talented craftspeople – including illustrators, printmakers, weavers and carpenters – at work.
14–19 October, Berkeley Square
The sister fair to PAD Paris, which was founded by a French antique dealer, PAD London takes place over the course of a week in the heart of well-heeled Mayfair. Celebrated galleries, artists, jewellers and dealers congregate in Berkeley Square to exhibit contemporary artworks to designers, collectors, and the general public.
The beautiful setting, colourful crowd and extraordinary exhibits combine to make PAD a fun and inspiring celebration of art and craftsmanship.
