Founded by Tasha Freeman in 2015, Freeman and Whitehouse renovates residential and boutique commercial spaces worldwide.

The studio offers a full range of interior design services, from architectural space planning, furniture sourcing and colour consultations to fabrics and lighting advice.

Drawing inspiration from light and nature, Tasha crafts warm, authentic spaces in harmony with their surroundings. Her spaces have been featured in publications including Grand Designs magazine, Elle Decoration, Living etc., and The Resident.

As a trained ceramicist, Tasha also handcrafts beautiful clay pieces from her studio.

The
Challenge

Tasha sought March’s expertise to craft a new brand identity and build a portfolio website. This transformation included rebranding from Freeman and Whitehouse to the more personal Tasha Freeman, signalling a change in creative direction.

The new website needed to work on a number of levels, firstly to showcase Tasha’s interior design expertise, and secondly to promote her growing ceramic range to clients old and new.

The Brand

During the brand discovery phase, March focused on uncovering Tasha Freeman’s values, vision, target audience, and personality. It became evident that the existing brand failed to capture the essence and direction of the business.
Drawing inspiration from Tasha’s ceramics, March designed a personalised calligraphy logotype influenced by her signature. Integrating her branding with her artistry, March crafted the logomark from the initials she uses on her ceramic pieces.
Tasha Freeman Identity
To complement the logo, March designed a set of hand-drawn icons and elements, all inspired by the intricate details of her ceramic work.

March paired Tasha’s logo and brand elements with a grounded colour palette, enhancing an aesthetic that embodies craftsmanship and singularity – both key brand values.

The Website

The design phase highlighted the need to simplify the journey for customers seeking ceramics and clients exploring interior design services.

Building on Tasha’s new visual identity, March crafted a bespoke website design that reflected the brand’s essence through the thoughtful use of space.

Freeman Website Development

March built the website on WordPress, with Elementor enabling the bespoke design. Recognising that much of the audience would browse on mobile devices, March ensured the site was equally impactful and functional on smaller screens.

Iconography and hand-drawn flourishes played a central role in humanising the site, reinforcing the principle that authenticity is key to successful branding.
