Website Performance
Founded in 2004, the studio takes on only a limited number of projects each year, allowing Henri to be personally involved in every aspect of the design process.
Henri’s work has been widely recognised, earning her a spot on House & Garden’s ‘Top 100 Interior Designers’ list for the past eight years. In 2023, Henri won the prestigious House & Garden ‘Project of the Year’ award for her Sussex Home project.
The
Challenge
The new brand needed to be authentic and personal to Henri’s work, while the website needed to do justice to the truly distinctive interior projects the studio delivers for its clientele.
The HFL team also needed to be able to manage the website themselves, adding new projects and announcements on a regular basis.
The Brand
Her work features repeating elements and influences such as rope motifs, pineapples, and modernism. We drew inspiration from these characteristics and components to craft the HFL brand.
This was paired with Futura, a modernist, geometric sans serif typeface.
The Website
March developed a visually impactful website for Henri’s studio using WordPress with Elementor.
Henri’s new brand ident welcomes users when they arrive at the site. This transitions to reveal full-bleed images of the studio’s distinctive, award-winning interiors.
Interior pages are individually designed to present each project most effectively.
Interior projects take centre stage, while a step-by-step timeframe was also created to outline the interior design process for potential clients.
With a growing mobile audience, March optimised the website to deliver a smooth experience for small screen devices.
March democratised ownership of the new website and provided a series of tutorial videos so that the HFL team could make updates themselves.

The Results
March created a distinctive website for Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay that reflects the studio’s standing within the residential interiors industry.
Their award-winning work now takes centre stage across the website.
The creative process with the team was highly collaborative. Everyone’s voice was heard throughout the project, which made it both rewarding and successful.
The studio can now effortlessly update the site with their latest interior design projects, collaborations, and announcements.
