Henri Fitzwilliam-Lay is a multi award-winning interior design studio known for creating unique, timeless spaces that feel distinctive, lived-in, and deeply personal, showcasing the very best of their owners’ collections and characters.

Founded in 2004, the studio takes on only a limited number of projects each year, allowing Henri to be personally involved in every aspect of the design process.

Henri’s work has been widely recognised, earning her a spot on House & Garden’s ‘Top 100 Interior Designers’ list for the past eight years. In 2023, Henri won the prestigious House & Garden ‘Project of the Year’ award for her Sussex Home project.

The
Challenge

Henri’s team approached March for help creating a brand identity and website that reflected their standing within the luxury residential interiors space.

The new brand needed to be authentic and personal to Henri’s work, while the website needed to do justice to the truly distinctive interior projects the studio delivers for its clientele.

The HFL team also needed to be able to manage the website themselves, adding new projects and announcements on a regular basis.

The Brand

Henri’s interiors can be described as US maximalism meets English eccentricity.

Her work features repeating elements and influences such as rope motifs, pineapples, and modernism. We drew inspiration from these characteristics and components to craft the HFL brand.

The logo uses repeating, Bauhaus-influenced lines to form a HFL ident.

This was paired with Futura, a modernist, geometric sans serif typeface.
