March was created out of the desire for both Peter and I to take control of which people we work for, the brands we help create and the relationships we build.
As fathers and husbands, we both understand the importance of family and a strong moral compass. We didn’t want March just to churn out work for anyone, anywhere, anyhow, so we put together our manifesto right from the start.
You’ll see things like Build Relationships, Be Kind, Achieve Symbiosis; all things built around working with people and collaborating to achieve a greater result. We have always felt that people are at the core of everything we do and that making a connection, building trust and respect is the only proper way to do business.
At March we work with several charitable organisations on a regular basis (such as the Sir Hubert von Herkomer Arts Foundation and the Bloomsbury Football Foundation) and feel the work we do is important in allowing these charities to achieve their goals to help young people live and build better lives. But, at this time of year the concepts of charity and family and privilege are given even deeper focus as we enter a time of festive greetings and goodwill.
This year March has made charitable donations to two charities.
- https://youngminds.org.uk/ (Mental Health for Children)
- http://www.pandasfoundation.org.uk/ (Postnatal Depression)
Both Peter and I have young children and equally, mental health is an issue which has and does affect our families and friends.
As a small London marketing agency, supporting charities that do work locally is important and the work of YoungMinds chimed with us, particularly the Mark Your Mind project in Tower Hamlets which raises awareness and provides much needed support.
PANDAS Foundation provides support for families suffering prenatal/antenatal and postnatal illnesses, something which my wife suffered from with the birth of our first child.
Mental health issues, particularly amongst children, are on the rise and it’s prevalence in schools is increasing as we see reports in the news with ever greater frequency. We hope our donations go some way to helping young people and families suffering with mental health issues and we as a company will continue to help support charities operating in this area.
We wish all you all a very happy Christmas.
